The Musical Creativity Study Group establishes collaborative networks with researchers, research groups, and institutions in Brazil and internationally, promoting the exchange of knowledge, perspectives, and practices. These connections enable the development of joint research projects, publications, academic meetings, lectures, workshops, and other initiatives focused on investigating musical creativity in its multiple dimensions. Beyond establishing institutional partnerships, we seek to build a network open to dialogue and cooperation across different fields, cultural contexts, and theoretical perspectives, expanding opportunities for the production and circulation of knowledge.

Research Group on Musical Improvisation: Creative Processes, Performance, and Interdisciplinary Approaches

About: The group conducts artistic and theoretical research with academic, educational, and sociocultural impact. Its activities integrate musical creation, critical reflection, and outreach initiatives, fostering connections between teaching, research, and society. The group contributes to consolidating improvisation as a field of knowledge within Music, while promoting interdisciplinary practices involving other arts, education, philosophy, and technology. Its activities include the education and training of students and researchers, artistic and scholarly production, academic events and public performances, and the strengthening of national and international research networks.

Possibility Studies Network (PSN)

About: An international network of scholars, researchers, and practitioners dedicated to the study of human and more-than-human possibilities. The network explores topics such as agency, creativity, imagination, and innovation, seeking to understand how individuals, groups, and societies explore possible worlds and futures. Its approach is interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary, bringing together fields such as the humanities and social sciences, education, arts, and design. The network also addresses topics including improvisation, play, serendipity, and wonder.
